For those who are unfamiliar with the band, Triptykon are led by Tom Gabriel Fischer formerly of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost and a quick look at the band's website tells us that "Shatter", "I Am the Twilight" and "Crucifixus" are leftovers from the sessions that produced their Eparistera Daimones CD.
Unfortunately I have to suggest that if these songs had been up to the job they'd have been included on that release as they're somewhat ho hum, although "Shatter" isn't too bad with an interestingly angelic female vocal juxtaposed with Fischer's harsh masculine sound.
The live covers of Celtic Frost's "Circle of the Tyrants" and "Dethroned Emperor" are somewhat perfunctory and decidedly redundant which leads one to the conclusion that this is an unnecessary release which will only please completists.
