It is something of an old cliché but some bands really can claim to be "Big in Japan". One such outfit is the German Melodic Rockers Fair Warning who, aside from a five year gap from 2000, have been around for close on two decades and for whom the Far East genuinely is a fan stronghold. Available as a 3CD, 2DVD and combined 5 Disc Boxset, Talking Ain't Enough finds the band playing to the Tokyo faithful both at Loud Park in 2009 and on their standard Japanese tour earlier this year. Led by the irrepressible Tommy Heart (who addresses the crowd in Japanese on several occasions), this is Fair Warning doing what they do best – belting out a set bursting full of melodic rock gems chosen from their extensive back catalogue. High on harmonies, sing-a-long choruses and dazzling solos the German quartet sound right at home here. As with all live albums this is perhaps not one for newcomers to the band who are better pointed in the direction of 2009's Aura or 2001's A Decade of Fair Warning. But for the Fair Warning faithful this will be lapped up and rightly so.
