This EP from the Pineapple Thief has been released in Europe at the end of their current Tour promoting the album Someone Here is Missing.
As is common in music these days, artists release remixes or acoustic version of the songs they have created. Especially in Progressive rock and Alternative or Indie sphere this is seen a lot.
Why do this? Most likely to sell more of their music. The same is done here, as there is some new music not released before, plus acoustic versions of songs to be found on the album previously released and a remix.
The title of the EP says it all, it is the "Show A Little Love" single, well in the old days 12" record.
Is this fun? Oh yeah, you can say that, as this way you get new material all the time. And as may be expected by bands such as this it is of a high standard. The Pineapple Thief are often called Progressive, but if you listen I more closely you better put them in the Indie/Alternative group.
I was a lucky person to see them play live not that long ago and hear one of these new songs "Counting the Cost" played live before I heard the CD, and I can say it is fabulously good music, great sound, and TPT have a sound of their own no doubt. Bruce Soord and his company have given us a new treat.
