PetePardo Cathedral: the whole damn catalog- not quite sure what got me on this kick, but man, I've been groovin' to the doom laden & trippy sounds of these stoner behemoths for the last 2 months non-stop!! Riffs to die for, and the grooves never let up!
Immortal: Northern Chaos Gods- one of the reasons my Listening Room picks are so barren this month is because THIS album has taken over most of my leisure listening! What a KILLER album, and easy comeback album of the year from these black metal legends!
Obscura: Deluvium- excellent new release and finale of their multi-release concept series. If you love technical & progressive death metal, do not miss this one!
Redemption: Long Night's Journey Into Day- Ray Alder out, Tom Englund in, but the results are still Redemption at their very best!
Lucifer: Lucifer II- can't get enough of this one, an album that gets better with each listen. Killer female vocals and a mix of doom, blues, and hard rock riffing. Songs are ultra memorable too!
Spock's Beard: Noise Floor- another winner from these always dependable US prog rock veterans
Yob: Our Raw Heart- very solid new release from these US doomsters
Brand X: Unorthodox Behavior- haven't listened to this '70s fusion classic in years! As great as I remember it!
Winterhawk: Winterhawk- fantastic US hard rock rarity from the '70s. Think early Rush meets Wishbone Ash!!
King Crimson: Live in Vienna- a must!!!
